WeDo’s team visit to Israel

Last week we travelled to Israel to visit our partners at the University of Haifa and The Academic College of Tel-Aviv-Yaffo. During our stay, we conducted different workshops and strengthened our ongoing collaboration in the context of the Horizon Europe funding program.

In the first two days at the University of Haifa, we held a practical workshop on European project proposal preparation and leadership and had one-to-one coaching sessions with some of their researchers. Together, we worked with concepts such as how to implement the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) approach to the proposals and projects, how to network and access or generate consortia, and how to do the scoping exercise that can turn ideas into suitable proposals for upcoming calls.

In our two days at The Academic College of Tel-Aviv-Yaffo, we held two very practical and interactive workshops targeting small groups and focusing on the Horizon Europe project proposal development and on how senior researchers can best equipped for leading proposals.

Our visit was an enriching experience, in which we could contribute to strengthening the efforts of the research and innovation management offices to enhance the participation of their researchers in European projects, put into practice some of our most recent workshop approaches and have wonderful exchanges with excellent professionals and academics.
