WeDo was delighted to see its partner project Light4Lungs receive a positive appraisal on 27 January. The routine one-year review for EU-funded R&I projects is an opportunity to take a look at the progress made over the first twelve months and check that the project is on track to meet its milestones.
The aim of the Light4Lungs project is to develop a new treatment for bacterial lung infections. Its innovative solution proposes to solve the problem of microbial resistance by using inhalable light sources that kill the bacteria via a photodynamic effect.
As the review was a success, the project certainly seems well on course with its four-year plan.
